Launch Of New MSc Environmental Science Course by IGNOU’s School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-Disciplinary Studies from the January 2021 Admission Cycle. The course will be available through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode by IGNOU.

In a statement, the University Officials said, “generating skilled manpower to tackle the growing environmental and developmental problems and changes arising from the transition to a sustainable society

The statement further added, “The MSc programme will give an insight into the socio-economic causes and the characteristics of pollution and degradation of the natural environment, including the effects on human beings, the atmosphere, the ecosystem, and other organisms

Further it also added, “It will equip learners with the necessary knowledge to carry out independent assessments on environmental issuesLearners will also be able to analyze and assess environmental systems and problems; propose sustainable solutions to environmental problems. They will be able to work on the development of policies and strategies for environmental planning for sustainable development.”

MSc Environmental Science: Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must possess a Graduation Degree or BSc Degree from recognized University or Institute.
